Beginning with a prominent role as an actor in Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon, Leon Vitali went on to be Stanley's close collaborator, assistant and friend until the director's death in 1999. More recently, in addition to safeguarding Stanley's legacy by supervising all of his film restorations, Leon himself is the subject of the 2017 documentary Filmworker.
